Dr. Scott L Sommers
Dr. Scott L. Sommers graduated from Loyola Dental School with a vision to create a practice that was focused around providing patients with optimal dental care in a caring and relaxed environment. He purchased a practice in the Dental Arts Building and achieved his goal. Twenty-two years and one office move later, the focus is still the same. He strives to help patients and works with them to determine a treatment plan that will satisfy their dental needs. He does all aspects of dentistry, including orthodontics for children and adults. When not at work, he can be found staying active with his two boys.
Dr. Christopher M. Chen
Dr. Christopher M. Chen joined our practice in 2008. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2008 and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry in 2006. While in school, he received the Dr. Albany Vlazny Restorative Award for excellence in dental restoration and clinical skills. With a passion for dental science, he also received the Dr. Gould Memorial Scholarship Award for recognition in academic excellence. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. To be at the forefront of modern dentistry, he pursued further training through continued education with implant placement and restoration. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages. In his free time he enjoys reading, playing sports, spending time with his family and friends.
Dr. Vincent J. Losito
Dr. Vincent J. Losito is a pediatric dental specialist. He received his degree from the University Of Illinois School Of Dentistry and the University of Illinois graduate program. He has practiced in Aurora for over 25 years. Dr. Losito is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Fox Valley Dental Society and past president and member of the Aurora Dental Society. He also served on the Peer Review Committee of Fox Valley. Eliminating fear and gaining a child’s trust is most important in Dr. Losito’s practice.
Dr. J. Ward Crown
Dr. J. Ward Crown has been an associate dentist in our practice since September 2001. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1994. Dr. Crown has been working in private practice since 1994 and enjoys working in all aspects of dentistry. He works at improving treatment through continuing education classes. Dr. Crown resides in Sycamore with his wife, Jeanie, a dental hygienist and has two children, Jordan and Tyler. He enjoys working in his yard and playing golf.
Donna LeDuc
In 1992, Donna LeDuc ended her career in a dental lab and began working for Dr. Sommers as our office manager. After 17 years, she can still be found at the front desk, greeting patients, filing insurance claims and discussing the many financial options that our office provides. However, she was not always involved in the dental field. On the contrary, she studied art at Northern Illinois University. She shares her home with her husband Brian, a dental technician, daughter Shelby, and three cats. Donna and her husband are most known for their kindness and compassion towards animals.
Emmy Godinez,
Emmy Godinez joined our practice in 1998. She began working in the dental field at the young age of 16. With over 17 yrs of dental experience, she is cross trained to work in the front office and also as a dental assistant. She is the insurance, financial coordinator and Donna’s “right hand”. She loves working with people, and especially children. She resides in Aurora with her husband, Ramon, three children, Alondra, Sebastian, Nicole and her little Chihuahua, Milli. In her spare time she loves dancing and going out with her family.
Jennifer (Jen) Streff
Jennifer (Jen) Streff has been working at our practice since 1999 and is an integral member of our team. In keeping with the values of our practice, she furthers her education by taking courses highlighting the latest techniques in dental assisting. She resides in Hinckley with her daughter Kiley. Her hobbies include gardening and spending time with her friends and family.
Jenny (Nennie) Wenberg
Jenny (Nennie) Wenberg has been a fixture at the office since 2002. She is most often seen assisting Dr. Sommers with his orthodontic cases for which she is certified in the Tip-Edge orthodontic system. She is also certified in coronal polishing and continually seeks new opportunities to further her education. She lives in Burlington with her husband Brent, daughter Olivia and son Gage. She enjoys the finer things in life, spending time with her family and friends.
Karime Perez
Karime has been working for Dr. Losito since 1994 and with Dr. Sommers since 2005. She currently assists Dr. Losito with patient care. When she is not working, Karime is attending Aurora University. After earning her Bachelors Degree, she plans on attending dental school at UIC. Karime currently resides in Aurora with her husband, Tony and son Andony.
Janis Bonifas
Janis has been working as a registered dental hygienist with Dr. Losito in his pediatric practice for 25+ years. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Parkland College in Champaign. Merging with Dr. Sommers’ practice in 2005, Janis continues to work with Dr. Losito as well as with Dr. Sommers. Her main love in the field of dental hygiene is working with children. She continually attends continuing education classes in her field. Janis currently resides in Batavia with her two daughters.
